Job Title: Seeker 200 Maintenance Technician

Position Overview: The Maintainers are responsible for ensuring that all UAS equipment functions properly and is maintained in accordance with ArgenTech Solutions' guidance. It is the Maintainer's responsibility to ensure mission success through aircraft serviceability, system operability and reliability, and operational support stability.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Maintainer is responsible for ensuring all Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) equipment functions properly and is maintained in accordance with site provided guidance. While operating from the deployed location, all FSRs are responsible to, and work directly for, the assigned Site Lead for daily tasking, regardless of parent company. Each FSR will be integrated into the flying/maintenance schedule and is not solely responsible for one area of the deployment location requirements (programming, maintenance, refueling). The FSR will be integrate with all facets of the operation and be able to operate, communicate, and work in support of mission requirements. It is the FSR's responsibility to ensure mission success through aircraft serviceability, system operability, system reliability and operational support stability.
  • The Maintainer may be a current and qualified operator. In such cases he or she will be integrated into the flying schedule as determined by the Site Lead to maintain currency and to support personnel shortfalls if encountered. The Maintainer is responsible for managing all aircraft maintenance log books, supporting documentation and spread sheets are up to date and provide information daily to the Site Lead for SITREP input.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in either avionics, UAS airframes or preferable both.
  • Experience in troubleshooting down to the component level.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and electronic measuring devices including oscilloscopes, meters and special test equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings and technical manuals and conduct preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret operational and maintenance documents dealing with DENEL’s SEEKER UAS, as well as ArgenTech Solutions' and NGO requirements for operating in AOR. Ability to respond effectively to operational inquiries. Ability to write mission reports, and give post-deployment presentations to customers and management. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, and others this position comes in contact with. Personal Computer literacy is required.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply principles of logical or operational thinking to a wide range of mission-related and practical problems. Demonstrated operational and programmatic knowledge and performance at a high professional level with minimal guidance and direction is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small team environment is essential.
  • Must pass a background check and be of sound integrity and ethical standing.
  • Must speak ICAO level 4 English with clear proficiency as defined in the ICAO Language Proficiency Rating Scale found in ICAO Doc 9835 AN/453
  • Hold a valid Passport.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Hold a 2nd Class Aviation Medical Certificate.
    • Ability to pass rigorous Medical / Dental / Psychological pre-deployment screening per customer requirements.
    • Ability to lift and carry 80 lbs. unassisted for short distances.
    • Ability to work in small, cramped spaces.
    • Ability to ascent/descend stairs, ladders and ramps while carrying up to 40 lbs.
    • Ability to bend and /or twist legs, arms and body within normal range of motion.
    • Ability to stand and walk without rest for at least two hours.
    • Ability to perform required job duties outdoors in conditions that may include extreme high and low temperatures, rain, snow, and high winds.
